The South Harrison Girls Golf team continues to dominate on the course, showcasing their talent and teamwork in two major tournaments. First, they secured their 3rd consecutive Grand River Conference Championship, posting an impressive team score of 365. Abby Owens led the charge with a stellar +3 round of 75, earning her 1st place and her third straight conference championship. Teammates Ainsley Klindt (96) and Chloe Hodge (97) claimed 5th and 6th places respectively, while Ashlee Cannon shot a 97 to finish in 7th place. Gabby Clark finished just outside the top 10 with a score of 114. The team's ability to rise to the occasion, support each other, and perform under pressure was on full display, and they couldn’t be prouder of their collective success.
Their momentum continued at the Class 1, District 4 tournament, where the team clinched the district title with a team score of 361. Abby Owens once again led the way, shooting a remarkable +2 round of 73 to win her second consecutive individual district title. Chloe Hodge placed 6th with a score of 93, Ainsley Klindt secured 7th place with a 96, and Ashlee Cannon finished 11th, shooting a 99. All four golfers earned All-District honors. Gabby Clark contributed a score of 116, advancing alongside her teammates to the next stage.
The team now sets its sights on the MSHSAA State Golf Tournament, which will take place over two days, October 21-22, at Crown Pointe. With all five golfers competing, they’re ready to face the challenge ahead and continue their incredible season.
