South Harrison High School is celebrating the accomplishments of three outstanding student musicians—Logan, Piper, and Kaci—who recently attended the prestigious Western International Band Clinic (WIBC). Accompanied by band director Will Licop, the students had the unique opportunity to collaborate with talented high school musicians from across the United States and beyond.
Held annually, the Western International Band Clinic brings together some of the most gifted young musicians for a weekend of intensive rehearsals, performances, and masterclasses. This year, participants had the privilege of working under the direction of celebrated band composers and conductors, including Randall Standridge, Brian Balmages, and Kevin Day.
“WIBC was a great experience,” shared Mr. Licop. “Logan, Piper, and Kaci had the amazing opportunity to learn from some of the biggest names in band composition and to connect with other passionate musicians. It’s an event they’ll remember for a lifetime.”
During the clinic, the students participated in rehearsals and workshops that challenged their musical skills and expanded their knowledge. They performed in honor bands alongside peers of similar high-caliber talent, showcasing their hard work and dedication.
South Harrison High School takes great pride in Logan, Piper, and Kaci for representing their school and community so well on an international stage. Congratulations to these young musicians on an incredible achievement!
