The South Harrison High School wrestling team has wrapped up an unforgettable season, breaking records and making history on the mat. Under the leadership of Head Coach Kasey McFall, the Bulldogs proved their strength, determination, and skill throughout the season.

The team finished second in the Grand River Conference (GRC) behind Marceline and took third place at districts, sending an impressive eight wrestlers to the state tournament—the most qualifiers in program history.

State Qualifiers:

At the state tournament, South Harrison wrestlers delivered standout performances, earning the highest team placement and point total in school history. The Bulldogs scored 83 team points to place 5th overall, surpassing all previous team achievements.

State Medalists:

  • Thales Marshall – 6th place (106)

  • Mayson Edwards – 2nd place (190)

  • Crae Coffey – 2nd place (215)

  • Ruger Johnson – 4th place (285)

“This season was nothing short of incredible,” said Coach McFall. “These athletes have put in the work, and to see them set school records and compete at the highest level has been amazing. I couldn’t be prouder of what they accomplished.”

  • Most team points at state (83) & highest team placement (5th place)

  • Crae Coffey – 100 career wins & 100 career pins

  • Mayson Edwards – 150 career wins & 100 career pins

  • Ethan Smith – 100 career wins

  • Crae Coffey – 52 wins this season (3rd most in school history)

  • Crae Coffey – 42 pins this season (2nd most in school history)

  • Mayson Edwards – 158 career wins (4th most in school history)

  • Mayson Edwards – 108 career pins (3rd most in school history)

  • Kentli Whitaker – Two-time state qualifier and only female qualifier in school history

  • Kentli Whitaker – Holds school records for season and career wins, pins, and winning percentage

In addition to their success on the mat, several wrestlers earned Academic All-State honors, showcasing their dedication in the classroom as well. Congratulations to Crae Coffey, Thales Marshall, and Ruger Johnson for excelling both academically and athletically.

As the season comes to a close, the Bulldogs have set a new standard for South Harrison wrestling. With a strong foundation and record-breaking performances, the future of the program looks brighter than ever.
