The winter season has been packed with performances and achievements for the South Harrison Band, and the momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon. From honor bands to pep band performances, students have been showcasing their dedication and talent at every opportunity.
The first semester wrapped up with a successful Winter Concert and impressive showings from South Harrison students in the middle school and high school All-District bands. As the new semester kicked off, the band continued to stay active with pep band performances, honor bands, and preparations for upcoming competitions.
“First semester ended with a great Winter Concert and excellent performances from our students in the middle school and high school All-District bands.,” said Assistant Band Director Aaron Morley.
Several South Harrison musicians recently had the opportunity to perform at the Four State Honor Band on January 18th. Logan Cornelison, Kaci Brown, Cooper Jones, and Josie Taylor proudly represented the school, demonstrating their musical excellence among top students from across the region.
Meanwhile, the pep band has been energizing the crowd at home basketball games and is preparing for two more big performances at Homecoming and Senior Night.
Looking ahead, March will be a big month for the South Harrison Band program. Students from both middle school and high school will participate in solo and ensemble competitions, and the high school band will take the stage at the large ensemble contest.
With so much to look forward to, the South Harrison Band continues to thrive and make the school and community proud. Be sure to support these talented musicians at their upcoming performances and competitions!
